2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission QC Door latch

I am looking for a lower door latch mechanism for a 98 QC (passenger side rear door).

Mine is seized and I had to open the door using a 10lb dead blow hammer to get the latch off from the bottom of the door.

I have soaked the latch mechanism in "Moovit" for 2 days and it still won't budge, and the dealer wants over $100. 00 for a replacement .

The wrecking yards won't sell one off of a good door and thus far I haven't had any luck finding a used one.



If anyone knows of an after-market source or a used one (not seized :-laf ) I would really appreciate hearing from you.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Not comfortable loading the little ones in the back with only the upper latch holding the door closed.

Go to the conversion thread - there is a post about 'Wanted Old Dodge Parts". Several posters with various leftovers from donor trucks. PM one of them that may have what you need.
