2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission quad cab doors thumping???

go figure, stealer can't figure this out... .

do any of you notice your quad cab doors thumping when you hit bumps? my drivers side was the first , now they bolth thump when i hit bumps. it's getting annoying! i feel bad if i have passangers back there! is there a fix or adjustment? TIA... . james

Look under the cover top of doors torque screws out then check that bracket is tight held by large nut forgot what size if loose this could cause your thumping .

Try retorque all of the door fittings.



Cargo door hinge bolt should be 21 ft. lbs.

Cargo door hinge to C-pillar bolt also 21 ft. lbs.

Cargo door lower latch nut 9 ft. lbs.

Cargo door upper latch bolt 17 ft. lbs

Cargo door upper striker bolt 17 ft. lbs

Cargo door lower striker screw 21 ft. lbs



Hope that is the problem and it is eliminated with the right torque spec. s
