The other day I was driving in the 50 mph range and lowered one of the rear windows. It almost blew my ear drum out. If I crack one of the front windows it goes away. I've added vent visors over the windows the day I brought it home so I'm not sure if that's the cause. This is my first cummins and love it. My dad has a first and secound gen so I figured why not bring a third gen into the family.

Any one else with this problem?

It is caused by the presure in the cabin going up and down as the air is forced in through the open window. I always open the rear slider when it nice out and I have the windows open, even on the highway it is not too bad. Rear slider makes a huge difference as it give the air a easy path out as the rear has a slight vacume when it is open, I would not own a truck without a rear slider.

Yes. My wife's car... a 4 door is the same way. It's not the vent visors as we don;t have them. My 4 door cherokees were the same way.

Thanks!!

I'll crack the slider and try to remember to close on rainy days. My wifes concord seems to not have this problem. Dog is going to have to ride up front from know on.

I like the Slider, and it does take away that sound that you get from the rear windows. I just wish that DC had offered the slider as electric. I have friend who has a new F-150 that has an electric slide. If I open the slider I alway forget to close it!

When I ordered my truck in January, an electric slider was an option. I don't remember what it cost. I also really enjoy opening the slider with the windows down. Kind of hafta watch the backdraft. The other day I took my hat off to scratch my noggin, and the wind almost tore it out of my right hand.

I also forget to close it as well.

Bertram- I live in Middleboro. My dad has a 1st 3. 08 and 2nd gen 4. 10 both autos in Carver. He got me hooked on TDR. We haven't lined them up yet to see the difference with the 04. 5. Should be fun.
