Has anyone had a problem with their sliding rear window leaking on a quad cab? Mine just started leaking in heavy rain but never had a problem before. Have 29K on truck now. Can it be fixed without taking it to dealer? I hate like h--- to take it to a dealer since I've had some bad times with dealers! I'm hoping something this simple might be do it yourself. Thanks for any advice.

Are you sure it's the sliding window? The stop/cargo light above the window is notorious for leaking. It's easy to fix and a new gasket is cheap.

My stop /cargo light was the problem, replaced gasket and leak has stoped, and the rubber weather strip seal on the passenger door allowed water in. It was leaking at the bottom over the water channel and into the floor board and soaked carpet with about 1 inch of water during a rain storm. You should also put a 5/8 hose and hose clamp on A/C drain on the fire wall to prevent splash back into the cab. Its on fire wall below air filter and turbo

Thanks guys. Think I'll check cargo light first. That's a good tip and I haven't even considered that might be the problem.
