Quad Commander questions

So my cool parents bought me one for Christmas!



But! My engine light came on just now. I unplugged the MAP and coolant sensors to hookup the Commander and was just about done with the wiring routing when my g/f took out the truck to get dinner. She called and said the engine light is on. Should I just unplug the negatives and let it sit for 20 minutes?



Also, is the transmission temp sender only available to go on auto trannies? The instructions show a nice photo but can't find the corresponding place on my G56! If it's auto only, then fine, but if not, where is it? It says to remove a plug. I see a small plug above a passenger side ID tag.....



So, once slowpoke gets back and I eat, I will hook the rest of it up, but can anyone help me on those two items?

WOW. Congrats. You do have cool parents. Guess you've be a good son this year. . You can just measure your engine oil temp instead of auto transmission temp.

Or get a set of Fast Coolers and measure your transmission temp. Go to their site, e-mail them about having the G56. They will quote you a price for the coolers and the kit for the G56. Simple, easy, and you will have your transmission temp as you wish.

Oil/coolant temp you mean? I tapped into the coolant sender, are you saying there is a place to plug in for the oil also, or you mean just use that instead? I don't need the transmission, and like I said, if it's for autos, then no biggie.



Yes, they are cool. My mom called and the salesman asked what company she worked for, she said none. She then asked if they sold to individual customers, he said yes. So, he asked her who it was for, she said her son, he is on their site looking at it all the time, haha. So, they sent it out, free shipping to boot!
