Is there the same amount of space in the backseat of the club cab as their is in the quad cab? Only different is the doors?

Erik

we've got one of each ...

i'm 6'2" 270lbs and i can tell you that the 3rd gen has alot more room ... .

and MUCH easier entry and exit ...

just goto a dealer and jump in!

To answer your question, a 2nd gen club cab and quad cab are NEARLYidentical in the amount of room in the back seat.

That's not true. The 94-98. 5 trucks have a different dash- one that puts the driver/front passenger further forward and allows slightly more room in the rear than the 99-02 "quad Cab" counterparts.

You learn somethig everyday. We have them on our lot often, being a Dogde truck dealer. I am only going off of me putting my big a$$ in the back seats trying them out. I sat in both and didn't notice a difference. I will edit my post to reflect my mistake.

When in my garage or in a parking lot between cars... my quad cab might as well be a club cab with no doors since you have to open the front to open the rear... all the while standing in between them trying to hold the front one from hitting something.

I am quickly becoming a fan of the new quad cabs.

In 98 Dodge moved the shoulder belt mounts to the seat backs and made the seat backs thicker. Thus, the seats take up room that the 95-7 club cab can use for knee room.

I wondered about that ... .

I just switched from a '96 club cab to an '02 quad cab assuming that the backseat room would be the same.

When cleaning the truck up the backseat seemed a lot smaller than I remembered it, though it's really more for storage anyway.
