Looking for help and opinions and comments here. I want a box for pulling that will give decent EGT's. I know I will not be able to run box at full capacity. Looking for about a 75-80 horse gain with the rest of it stock except for 4" straight exhaust on a early 04 555. Will this be possible with the stock charger? Also would like to be able to upgrade in the future to more. Any experience with the Quad Race on 60 pulling? I like the option of having 140 horse for horseplay, but is the 60 horse setting low enough for pulling. Also I'm at 5000 feet elevation, I know this will not help matters.

I run the TST and would not go anywhere else, my reason is the adjustability on the fly it has more adjustability than any box out there and if EGTs are to high I turn down TQ and 1 or 2 #s or keep TQ up and turn down H. P. 1 or 2 #s but I can pull any hill at virtyally any speed I choose any can control EGTs and loseing spped due to slow traffic is not an issue, I was on I-80 in Calif. and got stuck behind a big rig doin 35 up a long grade and I pulled out into traffic and pulled my 10k 30' 5er right up to about 70 mph up the hill with good EGTs

I've seen this before and never commented, but why do you guys always say torque and horsepower instead of bottom end and top end? I guess I just never did understand that one

Yes, you are right but the TQ sets low end and H. P. is top end that is the way TST explains it

I have towed a decent load with my truck with the TST. No EGT problems unless the box was turned down too low for whatever reason. I towed with it on 3/3 and it worked great and no EGT problems pulling some good grades.

I've got the standard Quad box on a stock 305/555 engine.

Towing my travel trailer this weekend. I can report back if you would like on the EGTs.
