i had just bought a new quadzilla commander and am having problems. i got it all installed and every thing was working except for the boost. so i cut the MAP wire and soldered the commander boost wire to the MAP wire. i tripped a few codes in the install but ijust cleared them with my smarty. now every time i turn on the truck the RPM screen is blinking and i have to go to the warnings menu and turn off all the warnings that just keep setting themselves. then once i get all them off and get into the 4 parameter display mode then the whole screen flashes and the EGT's read like 1900 degrees, 0 psi boost, 29630 rail psi, and 43 for the fuel psi. i dont even have the fuel psi kit installed. and nothing changes. it just stays at those numbers and flashes. i just bought it but it says it was built in 6/06. then everytime i turn off my truck i have to go through all this again. whats going on with this thing. i know for a fact that it is installed correctly. your help is greatly appreciated!!!

Send me an email at -- email address removed -- and I will send youan update. It does sound like something weird is happening. Download the update and install it in the Commander and let me know if it fixes it.

OK, when you run the software it tells you to make sure the Commander is NOT connected. Once you click OK then it should install some drivers. Once that happens a windows pop up should appear asking you if you want to install these drivers. Click YES, this time only and then let it do its thing. Once you do that it will say connect your Commander and then you can update it.

once i click no that the commander is not plugged in then it says begin instalation and i click that and then pretty much right after it says plug in commander and i do. then it says "commander not found. " it is like it is not installing the drivers needed??? my computer was just rebooted so i know every thing is fresh and the file did download ok. i have gotten no error messages in the process!!

any ideas?? someone is supposed to call me tomarrow from techg but i wont be able to do anything till after 4 PM because of work!!

Ok, go to "My Computer" Right click it and then click on properties. A pop up with tabs will appear. Click on the hardware tab. Next click on Device Manager.

Once you are in the device manager scroll to the bottom and you will see "universal serial bus controllers". Expand this view. It should already have a large yellow question mark on it. Once you expand it you should see something to the tune of commander v1. 0 or something with a question mark on it. RIght click it and then click uninstall.

Once you do this try to runthe update again. After it says do not connect commander click ok and then wait a few seconds. After this happens our software will pop up it is ok to connect your Commander but, hold of for just a second. Windows should pop its own window up and you need to click yes, this time only and then let it install the stuff. Once that is done click ok on our software, connect the Commander and then click update.

I will make sure by tomorrow evening you will get it updated.

when i go to universal serial bus controlers, it does not say anything about the commander. there is no yellow question marks by any of the port names. i tried downloading everything again but am still getting the same problem. any more ideas. someone from quadzilla was supposed to call me at 4but i have yet to hear from them. i love the products looks but i was scared of this type of thing when going digital. do you have any other ideas?

Well it is still just shy of 4:00pm, I will make sure you get it updated.

I really am not sure of the issue we have literally had hundreds of people download and update this already with little to no issues at all. THe main issue is not having the .net framework and getting an error but, that is obviously not your problem.

Hang tight I am sure they will be calling you soon.

i c. we are an hour ahead of you here. that why i was confused. i will let you know what goes on after i talk to them today. it is plugged into my computer right now and the RPM screen says "OFF" and it is blinking just like it does in my truck when i turn on the key. i sure do hope this update helps cause i love the way it looks in there. thank. jake

they cannot figure it out. me either. they want me to send them my commander or something. he is going to call me back tomarrow and let me know what is going on!

i taslked to them. they want me to send them mine so they can look at it and either send a new one or fix it. or i can give them $125 for them to send me a new one and i send them my old one, they then credit my account the 125!!either way works for me. as long as these gauges are workin by april. i cannot dyno without them and have already payed!

I installed mine on saturday and it was really easy!!. It worked great. on monday it froze up. On tuesday it froze up ,about 8 times. I called Quadzilla, and they said to relocate the ground, and I did. It still froze up. they said they will send out a new one, all I needed was to pay $200. 00. ( refunded when they recieve my old one). On wensday It worked great all day, then today it froze up. I also could not down load the up date. By the way Hi everyone I am new, great site!!

I love my Commander. Only issue I had was with the old FP sender, and Quadzilla made it right and not a problem since. It is by far the biggest bang for your buck...

I've been happy with my Commander, I've had it for about 7 months. I do wanna get the rail pressure thing going (I got the optional RP wiring harness). Haven't tried to upgrade software yet.

I appreciate Qdzlla's imput on this forum, I made the right choice (for me) with the Commander instead of seperate analog gauges.
