I am thinking about buying the Quadzilla XZT+, I have seen it for $359, that seems a good price. Has anybody had good luck with this tuner? I am concerned about EGTs when towing. I hear this tuner is good for that.

I beta tested that box for quad & let me tell you, that box is awesome! I've run the Superchips, Smarty, Edge comp, Drag comp, Hypertech, Edge EZ & none had cooler egts. The low end grunt of that box is incredible & the driveability is flawless. The XZT+ would be my choice over any others, unless you want the XZT+ & some race/competition tuning... . GO ADRENALINE!!!!!!

I am thinking about this box too. How does it do with the stock turbo? Any EGT issues I shoulsd expect?

Definately no egt issues with that box, unless you have some giant injectors. That box had the coolest egts I've ever witnessed out of any box/tuner that I've tested. The power is crisp & smooth. Great box!!!!

Will The XZT get the same low end power as the Smarty.
I'm stock except for the Smarty. Just want the torque at low RPM. .

? is the Xzt a downloader ??

The XZT+ is a performance module with 3 switch on the fly performance tunes. You have stock, timing only [equal to the max mileage module], timing+fuel [70hp]. As far as comparing it to Smarty, it feels the same driving except the XZT+ doesn't have that jumpy pedal like Smarty. The XZT+ also has cooler egts, no smoke [on my truck] & a smoother feel to the power coming in. The Smarty has "notchy" feel to the throttle, the XZT+ has a stock pedal feel. I like driving the XZT+ alot better than driving Smarty because it is just silky smooth. Here is a link to the XZT+. Quadzilla

Cummins724, were you running the xzt+ with your current turbo? How was your spool up then? My turbo is in dire need of a rebuild, and maybe rather than rebuild it, I might just try and hold off and get the turbo I want (same as yours) and some 150hp injectors. Hopefully my EZ and some 150's will spool something that big ok.

My turbo spools at 1500rpm with injectors alone, maybe 1400rpm. It is actually fun to drive with just the injectors, you'll be fine with a EZ. That will actually be a nice setup. With the XZT+, I could spool my turbo at 1300-1350rpm. The XZT+ fuels alot harder than a EZ off idle, but you'll be fine. Here is a video that I made for a guy who asked the same question about rpm that I spool at. YouTube - 99 Dodge Cummins HTT Super Stock 62/71/14

hey guys im new to the TDR. A couple of questions. . I'm running an 01 24v Quad Cab short bed Auto 4x4. I have MBRP 4inch turbo back and a K&N Filter for now. Just bought the xzt+ and I am a bit worried about my stock trans. It runs fine at just around 96000 miles. What do you all think?

welcome to TDR! Its a really good idea to get gauges (pyrometer, trans temp) when you are adding a box of some sort. I put on the xzillaraider race and keep it on 140hp most of the time and just watch my temps and just dont hammer on it stoplight to stoplight. Also id really recomend it. I put it on and it woke my truck up rediculously. Also no codes and it actually fixed my lamp out light problem

Ok, Sounds like I am a good candidate for this one. Just got the chance to haul the TT last holiday weekend and I was very pleased.

Got Gauges? Watch them! Easy to go above 1250 with it on. Easy to control with right foot. Temp can climb above 220 when outside temp is 110. Also can be controlled by right foot.

This is how the truck should have run from the factory. Fuel economy has not been determined as I have not been to the pumps to fill it back up after about 275 miles with the TT. I believe it might be in the 1. 2 to 2. 0 MPG better than before. And, the additional power was very noticable.

Al Gore, you can suck the ____ stains out of... .

Oh yea, no smoke either!!

Some 60-90 hp injectors might be OK, but I bet a new turbo would be right on the back end of that.
