"Quaking"

Anyone out in Illinois or surrounding area feel the earthquake this morning? Kinda curious what happened out that way.

Yes it woke me. It was a 5. 4 near Vincennes indiana.

There has been 7 total in 24 hours. 5 with mag. below 3. Then about 10:15 was a second moderate one of 4. 6.

fox, I always thought the Pope should do something about Sin in that part of the country, thought he more power than that though, should have tried it from Rome, coming here to do it certainly took the shine off. Like his crazy hat though, could become a fashion for men and women. Heard W-Mart stacking up on them.

I slept right through it, but it woke up some of my co-workers this morning. I usually work first, but I worked second today, so I would have been up to experience it normally!

woke my wife in the night. she thought it was me sleeping restlessly. grabbed both my arms and then found out it wasn't me . Can't believe it. have an earthquake and who do you think the wife thinks is at fault? they did show building damage and things falling off shelves in the stores on the news. God's way of trying to help put out of work contractors back to work.

Every dog on our block was barking. Our German SHepard woke up and let out a long low growl that ended in one bark. She trotted into the dining room (just off the bedroom), and we checked all the windows and didnt see anything. I went back to bed.



I do remember waking up to what I thought was a big heavy truck going by on Independence St. I thought, huh, where are they taking a big piece of equipment at this hour? Turned the radio on at 5:30 to find we had an earthquake.



dseabaugh- has construction really slowed that much around here? I'm not in it anymore, but people are still buying BBQ pits faster than we can build them.

It woke me up at 5:30.

Now I know what it's like for people who see a UFO and no one believes them. Hardly anybody believes you when you say you felt an earthquake. Instead, they look at you like you're an idiot.

dpuckett, every contractor i talk to is looking for work. Lots of stuff available for sale cheap and I have been picking up some equipment just to have around. Was in Florida last week talking to a contractor at the dsl pump and he said they were only working 25 hr weeks looking for work and his neighbor went back north looking for work. My calls are waaaay down, just lucky I guess because I am not able to work much now anyway. Son in law has been going out of state to find carpenter work.

I felt it here in south west michigan about 300 miles from the center. Wasn't much more than a strange vibration though.

No man can come to the Father but through Jesus Christ. The way to take care of the sin is to repent to God for it and be truely forgiven.
