Finally!! A post that says something good about a dealer!!
A little while back I had my VP44 replaced. The dealer that did the work broke the connector for my fuel guage (read massive fuel leak). I had it towed back and they paid for the tow and the tech made a new connector.
Over the holidays I drove to CA to visit the in-laws. As I pulled into Tooele, UT for fuel at 4:50pm, I discovered that the massive leak was back. I franticly called the 800 number for Dodge and they told me to contact Quality Dodge, about 15 miles away.
When I explained the problem they told me to bring it in and that they would wait for me.
Upon arrival at about 7:00pm we decided the easiest fix was to simply put in a different schrader valve and disable the guage. Unfortunately they didn't have one in stock. This meant that we would have to stay there for the night and have a VERY long day the next day.
The service manager went onto the lot and found a used 01 truck that they were selling. He brought it to the garage and told the tech to take the part off of it.
They got me back on the road in just a few minuets AND AT NO CHARGE!!!!! Oo. Oo.
Quality Dodge in Tooele, UT truly deserves their 5 star rating!!
Upon return to Denver, I explained the ordeal to Johnson's and they paid for the tow in UT.
