Why does the box say "Made In Taiwan" ????? I'd steer clear of them. As much effort as RAM put forth into fuel filtration on the 2013 & up pickups....I'd stay with MOPAR, Fleetguard, and Parker / Racor.

I didn't even notice that. Made in Taiwan and DISTRIBUTED by this company.
Is there anyone that will test filters to see their effectiveness? See if they actually filter like they claim?

With that being said.......is it REALLLLLLLLY worth the $50 one saves on a pair of filters every 15,000 miles????

For those that opt to use'em......good luck getting Ma MOPAR to warranty any fuel related issues----in the event any arise.

I'm already outta warranty----and I'll continue to use MOPAR / Parker Racor.

I'll keep doing the same... But, playing the devils advocate here... Are those new nano net filters really costing 60+ bucks to make? They can make both of them for that price in Taiwan, surely they could make them here a little cheaper than they're going for now. I try to save a buck every place I can without sacrificing quality... Tires, batteries, wiper blades, filters... Some things you just can't skimp on.

No, it doesn't cost them $60 to make it, but when the fuel system costs $15,000 to replace, why would they want to skimp on a filter that can be made for less money, if that is really the only difference.
I know it doesn't cost Apple $600-$800 to make a phone, but they sell them all day long, and make tens of billions of profit every quarter doing it.

Go to Geno's garage.com and buy what they sell! They are OE filters. Support the people that own this web site! Good people, good prices.

I will let you in on a little secret cost of manufacturing and the selling price have no relationship to each other. The selling price is determined by the market place and price realization of the product.

There are only certain filters manufactures that I will purchase from. They are Baldwin filters, Pall Filters, Fleetguard Filters, Donaldson Filters and Caterpillar Filters; for the rest of the filter market you are just throwing your money away. These manufactures have tested their filters and meet the stringent ISO standards of cleanliness levels.

I asked my local truck supply store ( Fleetpride) about fuel filters. They told me Baldwin is usually behind 3-4 years on low volume products. They are also a Racor dealer but cannot access the water separator. Maybe soon?

I didn't mean access the Racor soon. I meant Baldwin. Racor, like many MFGs doesn't allow all products released to all dealers. Try looking up the Racor number online and see how many retailers have it available. I'll tell you this much, not many.

The pff54529 can be purchased for as little as $38 online.......not sure what difference it makes HOW many dealers actually carry them. Source them using price, reputation, and shipping as criteria....and one should be good to go.

I don't suppose you'd care to tell us where you found the filter would you. Not every site that lists the part number actually has it in stock.

Thanks. Things have changed a lot sense July. When I Googled the Parker number then, .all I got were 2 sites for Marine filters and they had a price but no availability. I just priced one at Diesel Filters and it came up to about $42 with shipping. I'll probably stick with Geno's sense they've always been great to deal with and I like to think they appreciate the business, but it's good to know we have options.
