I recently installed the Banks exhaust brake with the Banks monster exhaust. The brake works as decribe except for on item. The information in the paperwork that came with the brake as well as the info online both indicates that the brake will automatically shutdown at 15 mph which it does however one thing it does or in this case doesn't do is that it won't engage until you exceed 35mph and if you engage it, drop below 35mph and touch the accelorator, at which point the brake disengages, it will not re-engage until you exceed 35mph again. Banks has agreed to re program the controller for me to change this programmed feature however they informed me that all/most exhaust brakes are programmed the same as theirs. I'm just curious it that is true and if so what the reasoning might be.
