Question about 05 Juice/Attitude

I just purchased my new 05 and I bought the Edge Juice Attitude and all threads I read shows this.



Juice/Attitude 20/40/60/80/100

Juice 25/40/80

Hot Juice/Attitude 40/60/80/100/180

Hot Juice 40/60/100



BUT on the front of the box it shows 40-125hp Gains. so why is this differant then everything else I read.



Also I installed just the Juice yesterday without the Attitude and how can you changed the HP settings without the Attitude hooked up. Wed's I will be hooking up the attitude and the EGT probe etc. .

If you ordered the Juice without the Attitude you would have a 3 postion toggle switch to connect instead of the Attitude, this is what you would change settings with. You will need to install the Attitude to change settings now. You do not have to install the pyro sensor to hook up the Attitude. Just plug the Attitude in and you can do everything except monitor EGTs.



The numbers on the ouside of the box are confusing or at least not consistant with the manual or the numbers you posted above. Those numbers were posted by a Edge employee I believe.

I ordered the new style Pillar from Edge this morning to hold the Attitude

so once I get that I'll install the Attitude. Can you run just the Attitude without the Juice, so if I wanted to take it into the dealer for something

I can just disconnect the Juice? I'm sure once they see the attitude they will start to wonder, but I had the X-monitor box in my last truck and they didn't say anything.



If I want to just open the hood and plug the attitude and change the settings then un-plug it. will the settings stay or does it remove when you un-plug the Attitude?



Otherthing where does the Attitude get it's power?

From the Juice?

Those are probably questions you should ask Edge. I dont think the Attitude can be used by itself. It is powered by the Juice module and I would think that all monitoring and controls are really in the Juice. The Attitude just provides an interface, display functions and maybe stores peformance and record values. That just my guess, call Edge and ask.

I am originally from Montana, I am done here now. Working on the homestead for a couple weeks then taking the new Dodge up the Alcan! Have 3000 miles on it and I have the juice Attitude also. Can't wait to see how it will do towing. Towing a buddy's 78 Ford up for him. I believe you CANNOT operate the Attitude without the Juice. It plugs into the Juice and uses all the data the Juice collects from its various probes into the truckes wiring harness.



FYI I am in the Missoula/Stevensville area If there is anyone who would like to get together. My other TDR buddy is down from AK as well.



These fuel prices in MT are crazy, not as bad a Seattle where I picked my truck up at though, 2. 80 a gallon :--) Glad I have my auzillary tank. Filled it up with good old Alaska crude "burner fuel" for 1. 92 :-laf

NLamke it looks like you live near Great Falls. Nice truck looks just like my old one. I have to update my Sig. I just purchased a 05 From Helena. They wouldn't deal at all here.



I was just wondering about the Attitude wasn't sure if I could take the chip out and leave the attitude in IF I needed to take the new truck to the dealer. Looks like I'll have to take it back to the dealer I bought it from because they sell the performance chip so if I need anything done they will do it. It just sucks they are 90 miles away. Oh well. the minimal price you pay for playing.

Attitude runs off of the Juice.



Setting DO NOT hold once attitude is removed. Edge says it defaults to level 2-?, but it feels and smokes like 3-5.



Juice can be removed for dealer visits, just give youself more than 2mins to do it. Might look kinda suspicious with the EGT wires dead-ending under the hood though.



What version is your Attitude? The sticker should say 1. 1, not 1. 0. If it's 1. 0, send it back.

Attitude version 1. 0 will lock up when you "reset" the "records". I don't know if this is across the board or just some of them. Try resetting the records and see what happens. If it does lock, everything still works, you just have to power down and it'll work upon restart. Free fix from Edge. Someone said in another thread they'll send you a new one and ask for your credit card # to make sure you send the old one in. Stupid me, I paid shipping to send mine back.
