I ordered a set of Bilstein OEM replacement HD shocks from ORW then decided to install a level kit on my truck so I returned the OEM replacements for a swap for the 5100 series. The OEM Bilstein front replacement shocks came with a large one piece rubber bushing (hour glass shaped) with a metal sleeve. The new 5100 series fronts that I just received have 2 piece rubber bushings with the large metal compression washers. Which is correct?

Jack, if memory serves me right I reused the sleeve from my old pro comps (I believe stock had em too?) and used dthem in conjunction with my 5100's (brushed stainless steel lookin bilsteins) I remember reusing a set of sleeves. Put it this way no problems as of yet (Knocks on wood)

Thanks ToolManTimTaylor,

I have had ProComps on my truck for about 100,000 miles and if I remember right they had the same two piece rubber bushings that came with my new Bilstein 5100s. I tried to contact ProComp about the "lifetime" warranty and got no response so I decided to go with the Bilsteins. I'm sure the ProComps are worn out - It's hard to tell on these heavy trucks.

I plan on doing this Sunday and will check them (the ProComps) for the sleeves when I take them off.
