I have done a search on Airdog and Fass and am considering changing my factory pump to either one of these or back to an OEM from Geno's. Don't have many mods and plan to get a Bully Dog or Edge in the near future. The question is with the minimum mods I have and the mads I may get soon what would y'all recommend. I have considered the Airdog or FASS direct replacement to the water/air seperators. Can someone help me out with some common sense decisions? Thanks!

Get either the Air Dog or FASS. They're both good for your injection pump, and I recommend the pumps with the filters. OEM is good, but not this good and the entry level 95 gph will handle up to 500 HP, they claim. Engine will sound smoother too! I have the FASS 95/95, or now called the platinum series I believe. If I had to do it all over again, I'd go with the Air Dog simply because it has an adjustable pressure regulator. And get a fuel pressure gauge too. Geno's has them. I have the Autometer gauges, but Geno's doesn't sell junk-all they sell are good.

I would go with a raptor pump only and plume it into your stock filter housing. The easiest one to install. Looking back this is what I should have done.

I just replaced mine with one from Geno's and my truck runs just fine with that and my Banks Six Gun package. Unless you're doing some serious performance mods, I'm not sure that the higher pressures from the FASS or the Air Dog will be enough of a benefit to offset the price you will pay for one. Please check out the thread I started not to long ago about changing my lift pump out:

There is a really good discussion between TCDiesel, Cerberusiam, and a few others about this that you may find informative.

I have the FASS 95 and didn't notice any difference in the way it runs even when I turn up the TST. The FASS is really noisy though ~ kinda wish I had just gone with the replacement from Geno's. .

I recommend the pumps with the filters. OEM is good, but not this good

Actually, none of the filters that come with either are as good as the OE setup. The water seperation is no where near as good and the filtration is only marginal. AH64ID will be along and lay the numbers out as he is THE expert on filters. :)

The biggest benefit of a better LP is the ability to add adequate filtration where it is needed. Plan on a 2 micron filter kit between the OE filter and IP and size the pump for what you want to do. The Raptor or Platinum is a good choice for better filtration and power adds up to 500 HP or so.

The extra cost for air removal is hard to justify at lower power levels. Its almost impossible to quantify the gains. However, if one truly believes entrained air removal is beneficial then its worth the cost of the pumps with that built in.

I am truly, truly amazed that 17 people have not already posted GAG "its the flow not the pressure" GAG.

Stock or low power mods? I'd recommend doing what I did. Find a local Dodge mechanic selling a Mopar in-tank retrofit kit on the side... Best $150 I ever spent. :)

raptor and some remote Caterpillar filters= much better than stock. you can also get replacement filters for airdog that have better filtration capabilities and are less expensive.
