i am changing my 96 truck from vacume bost to hydro boost the olny problem i see it that the hydro boost clylinder has t 3/16 lines comming out of it and the vacume boost clylinder has one 3/16 and one 1/4 inch line and they both go to some sort of valve then the rear goes through another valve the second valve is the rear ABS but what is the frist? is it the porpotioning valve and do i need a newer one or should i just put an adapter in there and run the 3/16 line

thanks

I'm not sure about yours but I think what your talking about is incase you loose pressure due to line or hose failure and a valve in that block closes off the leaking side, the perportioning valve is usally located at the frame and attatch to the r. axail with a linkage that puts more baking to the r. wheels when theres more load , with less load theres less baking so the rear wheels don'nt lock up.

yea i was guessing it was a porpotioning valve out of my master clylinder there are the 2 lines that run in to this block that all my boov says is it is a valve that has one wire going to it then 2 lines come out of it and one goes to the front brakes one goes through a rwal valve which i assume is rear wheel anti lock and then to the rear axle i do not have one of thoes porpotioning valves by the rear axle
