95 sburban conversion...transmission?

Common rail into a K30

Ok I am getting this done little by little. I started on my 3" body lift but something don't seem right. Is this lift setup right? I thought maybe I did something wrong. It seems way to high. Also maybe once this engine & trans is in I can lower this down some. Any ideas or sugestions?

Thanks Joe

Also there are more pics here being halfway done.

Normally you dont use the body rubber on top with the puck or atleast that is how I did on mine but you do use the bottom one .

I was thinking the same thing to just put it on the frame without that top part but then it would not be a 3" lift if I am correct. maybe I missed something. I am not arguing but just tring to find out the right answer. Thanks for your reply

If the puck is a 3 inch one then there is your lift one thing you want to make sure of is body lines line up if they do then everything should be fine . I know on my crewcab the body lift made it easy to put stuff in cause it gave it the extra room you needed .

Yea the puck is 3". I do agree on more room but wow that is a little to much for me impo. I am thinking once I get my engine and trans in see how much room I actually have and maybe taking the top oem mount out that will bring it down 1 3/4 " right now I think it lifted 4-5 " instead of 3'' because of this.

I am just tring to verify if I am right or wrong.

Yeah you are right it is higher after you set everything take out the body rubber and go from there see what happens . looking good so far .

about my body lift to fit my 6bt in my burban ? pics..

I would have never used a body lift as you dont need it in the first place

if i did use a body lift id never go over a 1" over stock on the body as the strain on the steering colom is not worth it plus the high center of gravity issue along with the view of the top side of the frame

Maybe because you used an nv4500 in an older Suburban

In my 95 I didn't want a lift at all but finally added 1 and 3/4 inches to make it all fit. I can't think of a way not to have a body lift.

I've got an '85 Suburban with the ISB... . no body lift. Suspension lift, yeah, but no body lift. It fits, but it's tight.

Mine isnt a 95, its an 88, i had to put a 3 inch body lift on to fit the oversized radiator CAC intercooler. I didn't want a body lift at all, but was left with no choice... so we went ahead and done it. I needed new body/cab mounts anyways.
