Question about recall's

I just bought my P/U in August used. Dodge does not know that I own the vehicle, as I was not the first buyer. They will send recall notices to the original owner.

How/who do I contact to make sure they send the recalls to me now? Kinda seems like they have a few of them and I would hate to miss out on free updates. Thanks

In the literature that came with my owner's manual (2001), one of the items was form to notify DC of vehicle ownership transfers for just the purpose you describe. It may also be a form near the back of one of the owner's manual.
Look through what is in the glove box - if you don't find something like this, I bet Dodge customer service could help with this one (much simpler than fixing, oh say, wandering steering systems... )

It took an arm, a leg and too much time to get it done but I transfered owner registration (Chrysler not state) buy going through a local dealer. I think I would try the 1-800 help me number first if I had to do it again. I also remember seing a change owner form in the manual of my 99 like HC suggested.

I haven't notified D/C about my truck but I still get the recall notices. I think they got my info from motor vehicles records here. NOt sure though.

Just go to the dealer and ask about the recall status on your truck and they will take the VIN # and run it and tell you whats been done and what is not been done yet and that will put you on record as the owner.
That how it happened for me, I went in for a minor fix on something right after I bought it and thats what they did and fixed 2 things on recall that I didnt even know about.

The recall notice also lists an address to contact for reimbursement if you have already paid for a repair that falls under a recall (pending original receipts and adequate proof of payment):
