Question About The Edge With Attitude

I HAVE A EDGE BOX WITH THE ATTITUDE DISPLAY/CONTROL THAT HAS GIVEN ME PROBLEMS SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN 2005. THE ATTITUDE DISPLAY FREEZES ( THE NUMBERS IN THE BOX WONT MOVE ) SUCH AS THE VEHICLE SPEED AND BOOST ETC. . , ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THIS DELIMA. I HAVE REPLACED THE ATTITUDE CONTROL ONCE ALLREADY LAST YEAR FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE ONE I BOUGHT BACK IN 95 WAS A BAD PRODUCT. I HAVE NOT SENT IN MY EDGE BOX FOR ANY UPGRADES. :{

I used to have this problem, but then it stopped happening for some reason. My best guess is that it was a loose connection at the OBD port, but I'm not sure. I do know that when the Attitude froze the engine would throw a code at the same time that indicated a failure on the CAN bus. The steering wheel stereo controls also ceased functioning at the same time.

I had this problem with my Edge. Edge shipped a complete new unit, wiring, probes, etc. I first tried just replacing the Box and unit would continue to lock up when it felt like it. So I then replaced the Head unit and all the wiring, probes, etc. and have had no issues since. So in my situation it was actually not the controller causing the lock up but something in the wiring, probes, or head unit.
