Will a VA box off of a 98. 5-00 fit a 2001 or will I need different connections?

Different connections. I believe you can get an adapter from BD though. Is your '01 an H. O. ? Off of the BD website there are 4 different styles of VA available:

It will fit just fine as long as it is not the newest VA with the built-in boost fooler.

The one I am looking about buying is a 98. 5-00 with a boos fooler... Is that going to be an elbow? This is going on a friend of mine's truck it is a 2001 ETC auto. So I will need a connector right?

I did the same thing on my '02. I used a VA from a '99. I just didn't use the boost elbow or the fooler since it wouldn't work with my year. I called BD and asked about them about using the VA without more boost, and they said that I might loose something on the top end, but not much.



If I were to get some injectors, then I would get the extra fooler. But as it is I don't smoke much if at all once I get to 20psi. I just smoke before the turbo spools because the VA adds fuel earlier.
