I've read that it might be pointless to add water/meth injection with a upgraded intercooler. Can anyone verify that ?
It seems the more you can cool the air the better you'll be but, is it possible the a bigger intercooler is doing enough cooling to not use injection ?
yep, I'm way beyond that. Just got my intercooler installed and I've been thinking about doing the injection also but, if it's true that having a bigger cooler flowing more air will keeps things in check than it would be a $500 waste of money for the injection.
If your EGTs are in check with the intercooler, wouldn't think you would NEED the water/meth. Though, I don't see a turbo in your sig, if its stock you might go with a bigger turbo 'stead of the water.
Well, thank you for trying. I'm asking about the need for water using a bigger cooler. Not if the EGT's are in check. EGT's are rarely in check even with a bigger turbo.
Many people run a water/meth set up and i wondered if anyone knew, if they've found a need for the injection even when using a bigger cooler. Or, does the bigger cooler do the job well enough on it's own. I understand everything else that has to go with keeping EGT's in check. Sorry, maybe I didn't word my question correctly
