Why Aren't My RedHat Downloads Burning Correctly On CDs?

from what I understand XP is just a made over windows 2000... ... . which is based on NT... . but what do I know!

Jim

All the above.

NT was / is the basis for 2000

XP is mostly 2000 with some NT, some good things added and some good things taken out. Finally a whole lot more worrying about Microsoft getting their money.

Lastly a new variety of security holes.

Coulden't resist.

Microsoft's successor of Windows 2000 and Windows ME is Windows XP, previously known by codename Whistler. Finally the two Windows platforms meet in one OS, built on the more stable NT kernel.

Win2000 evolved from the NT kernel and was a significant jump in the OS' technology, but XP is just a prettier, slightly more stable, user friendlier, more compatible version of 2000. Don't get me wrong though, there is a couple of things hiding in there (functionality wise) that are much different than it's predecessor, I've only found a few though.

Doc I thought you were running windows -1400. Is xp one of those pills you take?:D Now your going to be a architecureist.
