So for the first time today I noticed that when the truck if finished with the grid heat cycle and the truck starts to crank.... the gauge display in the lower left of the dash changes from the transmission oil temperature that I have it programmed for.... its displaying some other scale.... and the other displays... upper left oil temp... is not visible .... of course before I cold view the rest of the dash the engine started.... I assume its always been this way... but I've been focused on something else and this morning the steering wheel was turned some so I focused on this part of the dash....

Any idea what the truck is showing me.... Thanks... Jim

Time to start on the grid heaters comes up for a split second if it hasn't timed out. *

By the way it doesn't show up anywhere in my owners manual! *

As Kirwin says, the little "bar gauge" is showing you the amount of time left on the grid heaters until the starter engages. *On a cold morning you'll notice that it runs longer than on a warm one. Kinda cool even if not particularly useful...

OK, OK so I'm a snow bird and I've not seen this before... don't rub it in too badly... BTW loving retirement and my new to me truck....

I saw it!! I saw it!!

0 to 75 virtual gauge for grid heaters.

Something to watch for when first push does not start the engine.
