I have a guy telling me that Dodge quit putting rear anti-sway bars on the 04. 5 trucks. I didn't believe him, but also didn't want to argue with him because I didn't know for sure. So anyone out there have the rear sway bar?

Will

Here's my aftermarket anti-sway bar. It's a Helwig. Had to crop the size of the photo, so not all of it is shown.

The bar, and the airbags sure make carrying the Citation 9'6" camper a breeze on our dually.

I had an after-market on my '94 and it handled great. I was told when I ordered my 04. 5 that one was no longer available from Dodge. I will go back to Helwig again. The handling improvement is very noticeable.

Sway bar

The almighty $ justified by the new hydroform frame. Somebody told them they no longer needed it and it would save $.

Yup, that's what I was told too. The stiffness of the new frame makes them unnecessary.

Dave, I think I saw your sway bar in the parking lot at the Northwest Nationals this weekend. Caught my eye because it was the first one I had ever seen

I think they left off the sway bar like they left off the rear wheel well liners, less insulation in the doors, and various other things... I miss my 2001... .

Scott, wasn't me... . we were in Puallup, WA overnight at the state fair.

Going to the Tillamook State Forest (Browns Camp) for a 4x4 event this weekend. (9-24/9-26) though.
