Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Question for DTT VB Owners

With a DTT VB alone, do you get 2nd gear lock up? ie. . Trans pump flowing fluid so you trans temp stays low... -vs- fluid coupling where the temp rises quickly?



Not trying to start a trans war but was reading "high transmission temp" post & he was in 2nd with a large load & thats where he got high trans temps. .

The DTT valvebody will allow 2nd gear lockup.



You'll still need something to command the converter to lockup though. (mystery switch)

Or better yet (assumes exhaust brake), a DTT Smart Controller.
