I HAD an oil pressure gauge on the truck, i have since removed it. I just wanted to check the accuracy of the stock gauge and solve the mystery of the delay in the oil gauge on startup. How i DID have it hooked was through the oil pressure port on top of the oil filter adaptor. I ran a braided line from there to an Autometer Sport Comp gauge mounted on the air conditioning intake duct. I had it on for a week, then took it off. You could do it the same way, just run the line through the firewall and mount it somewhere in the cab.

Ok, Spill!

What did you find out? Is there immediate (or almost) oil pressure upon startup? Anything else of interest with that experiment?

Thanks,

Todd

The only thing i found out is that the oil pressure comes up ALOT quicker then the factory gauge shows. Usually with in 1 second of start up i had pressure. The factory gauge sometimes has a 3 or 4 second delay
