Dave,

I was searching thru some old post and was reading that after you installed you POD's you had a rough idle, did you ever find out what the problem was or did you just live with it???

i'm having the same problem, i just set my timing up almost an 1/8 of an inch past the factory mark that seemed to help some,

idles fairly smooth sitting still with my foot on the brake, idle rmp about 800, but if i let of the brake and just coast ahead the truck just bucks and lopes.

any body else with any suggestions feel free to chime in.

I may get slammed for this but I was told by several performance shops that PODS were overkill for normal driving and towing. Idle quality and high towing egt's. Were ok for pulls and racing etc. Thats why I went with a 42 h. p. injector. I get a little roughness with ac on in high heat conditions but just somewhat more then when it was stock. Towing 10k I've never seen more then 950 egt etc.

Rdusch, I can only say I went through 3 set of PODs before I got a good set that gave me a smooth idle. Piers was a miffed with the suppliers that he was using. He started using another supplier and the quality went up.

But for you I would say kick up the timing some more (they like lots), Check to see if you have the . 023" washers under them and try raising the idle speed up a little more. Also, Amsoil "cetane" booster helps with idle quality and smoke.

The PODs are not what one would call a good "around town" injector. They like to be pushed. But it wouldn't hurt to have them checked for equal pop pressure.

This is what I have done and I hope it helps you.

Thanks Guys,

I'll try bumping up the timing again today and see what happens, i've been so used to running the Jannety custom tipped injectors that i just took out , they where extremely smooth even at low idle speeds, the POD's are way different, just might take some gettin used to ... ... ... ... ... Rick
