When flower's did not work, an estranged husband took out a full-page newspaper ad to ask his wife for forgiveness. "I can only hope you will give me a chance to prove my unending love. " read the ad in yesterday's FLORIDA TIMES-UNION. Larry , who did not give his last name, sent the $17,000 apology to Marianne, his wife of 17 years. No word on whether or not they've reconciled.





Which would work with you, a $17,000 public ad in a newspaper, or a personal apology and gift of $17,000, maybe vacation costing that much, housekeeping service worth that much, etc. ??????

-The best thing: Not do whatever deed got him in trouble in the first place.

Newspapers are recycled, he probably could be too.



-The ad would definitely not work for me because once everyone saw it, I'd have to keep reliving the experience by explaining what the heck he did to have to take out a full page ad!
