Ok, this is for down the road (isnt everything?), but, what are the differences between the older, non-IC VEs and the newer, IC VEs? I ask because I noticed it appears the delivery valves or smething stick out of the pump farther on mine than they do on the newer ones. Is it possible to get a 205 (?)updated/ CPL 1579 pump and attach it to my injector lines? Or would I need to get new lines as well? I plan to get a new head this spring/ summer, (for the TRUCK, not me; aint got the latter perfected just yet) preferrably before heading back west, while I stall have a shop and backhoe to lift the head off with. Figured since I'll have to get new injectors, MIGHT get the pump redone while I'm at it.
ANd while I'm on the subject of pump internals differences, what exactly is different between the 3 styles? Pump cam, plunger. etc??? And why do the older trucks like a little more advacne than the newer ones? Is it strictly because of the intercooling? God, I miss the 92 that had the 93 pump on it. :{ But, this one goes pretty well, cant complain a whole lot.
