I have just reviewed the latest posts regarding the 2014 Rams and read them all with great interest. The more I learn about this new truck the less I know.
My 2014 is almost three weeks old (945 miles) and I am still trying to get a handle on the EVIC system and all the new computerization that my old 99' Dodge 2500 did not have.
I have tried many times to activate those little LED lights that are mounted under the exterior mirrors, but have had no luck yet. I have gone to "Settings" and have been unable to find or stumble upon anything regarding these little exterior lights.

When I "Auto Unlock" the truck with the fob, headlights, tail lights all come on for 30 seconds and all four doors unlock as I programmed it but no little LED lights come on.
Am I missing or overlooking something that is so simple? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Yeah, I have them on my 2014 and never had to turn them on or off. I don't think it has anything to do with the light switch on the dash. I just love the new truck much more than my 98.5.

Does your truck have Tow Mirrors???

Yes, it does and the tow package. I see them when I get out of the truck will look to see if they are on all the time next time I'm in it.

gsbrockman,
Thanks for the reply. Yes, I do have Tow Mirrors. They rotate up so I can see around my trailer when I am hooked up.

Here is an update to these LED lights.
The other night I drove the truck and had the internal light switch on so I could see the dash. Once I parked and open the door, like magic those LED lights came on illuminating the ground beneath the front doors. I suspect that the internal light switch had something to do with these lights coming on but, I of course could be wrong. Regardless, they activated and did what they are supposed to do.
Thanks for all of your responses and helpful insights.
Dave
