Does anyone know how well the cam is lubed when doing extended idling? I run my exhaust brake to keep temps up but I'm concerned about the cam running dry from lack of splash. Is this a concern on the Cummins? I have never had one apart so am unable to determine this. I have a high idleler but the solenoid would not keep holding last night and even when using that it's still only idleing just above 1k with the e-brake on so even with that it's pretty slow. Comments?

Thanks,

Mark

i know a guy who has a 93 who sometimes allows the truck to idle all night because where he lives it gets so cold and he is pushing 700,000 miles. the only problem he has ever had beside some minor leaks is the water pump went awhile ago. :--)
