Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Question on lifting eye bolts

I'm installing new injectors today, and pulled the lifting eye. I assume I should put the bolts back in the holes? Do I need a spacer? Or maybe shorter bolts? I'll save the eye and put it under the rear seat.
