Why would you delete the opinion of a very repsected company? IE Borlas comments to me about 4 or 5 inch exhausts on dodge Diesels?By the way you ever looked at the differences between Amsoil and Redline or you just sell the product you make the most dollars on?
Is this forum just for a select few or to point out what and all information discovered?

<font color=teal>Did he specifically email you telling you he deleted it? Don't be so quick to "jump the gun" (I saw your post on the 4" group purchase)he could be moving it to "other" or it could be a mistake.

And as far as Borlas comments I have seen "Real-world" tests prove a 4" Exhaust does help performance. Ya the JRE 4" is exspensive but it IS an exspensive truck, and the JRE system is all about quality!

No disrespect or offense intended by this post, just noticed you only had 6 posts so just trying to get ya to have a lil patience.

Expense is not a question when I begin to build a motor just the opinions of good R&D departments to as where the best money for the horsepower/torque is to be spent. Borla exhaust systems, are stainless steel and are not inexpensive just good.

As far as posts go and longetivity, I don't think I have to defend myself. But I posted to the topic and now it is gone. Please explain... ... ... anybody.

Harvie, hold on a second! I contacted both Borla as well as Gibson about exhaust systems for my '98. 5 24v in 1999. Neither of them would give me the time of day! It really pissed me off, especially the treatment I received from Borla, AND I HAVE HAD TWO OF THEIR EXHAUST SYSTEMS in the past! Both companies told me there wouldn't be enough interest to warrant the R&D expenditure although, Gibson seemed to warm up a little on a subsequent call I made to them in late '99. I elected to go with the Banks 4" diameter, mandrel bent, stainless steel (including their straight through Dynaflow muffler) exhaust system in December of '99. I'm still extremely happy with my decision.

John, I got the same thing from Banks, Borla, and Jardine when in 94 I started asking about larger freeflowing stainless steel exhaust systems. I was told by all 3 that volume would have to make up the R&D costs and that the number of units being sold would not justify the expense. The key is to get enough interest in the particular vechicle and then have one of the principles purchase one for personal use.
Borla explained to me that they could get more air flow thru the engine but, that their primary business was mufflers and they went into complete systems to provide a very reliable system to compliament them. If they can or could not prove their system, without anything else, would add at least 10% to the torque and 10% or above to the horsepower they would not even custom make a set.

I can get Herb Gebler, here is one of the oldies, to make anything, for anything he said basically the same thing.

I am currently looking into using a Cummins ISM in a wrecked dually that will make some REAL power. I am the kind of guy that does not hear "can't, no, or won't" I just do it and show them. Then I let the people say that it can't be done. #ad

Harvie,
Since you asked a specific question to me, I will gladly answer it.

The post was not deleted at all. It was simply closed at the request of the topic starter.

And yes, I have looked at Redline products. They are good products, but in my opinion, the one I represent is a higher quality product. Has nothing to do with dollars for me!

Best regards,

Wayne

I was the topic starter, Wayne you are sounding like DC 800 guys now. I did not request it closed. But what ever the excuse it should be a free flowing forum not a censored one.

Harvie, Click on this link to your message in the 24v engine forum - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//Forum4/HTML/002032.html . It looks like Wayne was confused as to which message you were talking about. It looks like he made a mistake and clicked on the wrong box when moving your message - we have an option to leave it in the old forum locked and move it to the new forum or to just move it. Sorry you thought it was deleted.
