Looking for GOOD GMC Dealer

Friggin SWEEEEET!

Well I am heading to Maine for two weeks the 7th of October. I'll be in the Lewiston Area. Just wandering if thats too late for the change of seasons, I'm assuming it is. Anything else interesting to do in the area, I'll be there over the weekend and figured me and the other guy I'm goiing up with for from work would go site seeing or something.

I'm in New Hampshire at the seacoast area. The trees are still green around here. Not sure about in the mountains though. I don't know where Lewiston is though.

That should be pretty close to peak leaf-peeping season, so if you can get away for a day, you'll definitely want to take a drive. Heading northwestwest towards the Rangeley region (Rumford, Mexico) should mean some great foliage. For incredible foliage, head west towards Fryeburg/Conway NH and take the Kancamagus Highway/route 112 all the way till you hit US 302 near Woodsville NH. From there pick up Interstate 91 south and follow it south, you'll see plenty more colors. It'll be a long day, but well worth it!

I just got off the phone with my parents, theyre in Albion, Me.

It's going to be in the 30's tonight, they didnt mention the leaves changing yet, but they should be soon.

I took 16 south from Rangeley Lake along that Androscoggin River into Gorham one fall. That was a nice ride. Is it the town of Rangeley that has that serpintine bar made of maple? They served up a good burger. I remember a sign proclaiming the town to be half way to the north pole.

thanks for the info everyone, its my first time in Maine, I've been to Boston quite a few times on business and NY, but its always the wrong time of year.

I look forward to seeing the pretty countryside I always hear about but never get to see because I'm always in a big city somewhere... .

gonna miss two weeks of Dove huntin here though, and it should be getting good around that time since the cold fronts should be forcing birds south,...

nope, the leaves haven't started turning at all up here. Yes, Rangeley is a very nice town for the middle of nowhere. there's a restaraunt called "My Place" up there that's really good. that was our main snowmobiling place, but now it's probably going to move no-ath this yee-ah, ayuh.

QRTRHRS , you took route 16? that's one ALONE route with many frost heaves in the winter! 17 south is just as bad.

btw, Lewiston is roughly 30-45 mins. from here- as Scarborough is two towns below Portland.
