Since I'm a newbie (one week), can I put the Big Honking Air Filter off my 95 on my 99, and will the removal of the muffler affect the electronics? I miss the sound of my 95 with a straight pipe. Also my 99 has the 4:10, which you can really tell on the highway, how many RPM's are to high to run down the interstate? I think my speedo's off some with the slightly larger tires and I don't want to turn the engine to much.

No idea why the BHAF wouldn't swap.

YES, get rid of that muffler!

When it quits pullin' that's too many R's:p

I have 265's and a 3. 54 and have run at 2200 for extended periods, but I'm sure some 4. 10 guys can give you better insight on that. At some point you'll get out of the efficiency window and your fuel consumption is going to really suffer.

AND PUT A FUEL PRESSURE GUAGE ON THAT THING!

Where is Calera? If you're close enough we'll can test it with my Briar Hopper gauge.

my 95 had a catalytic converter, but this one has a small canister type catalytic converter? or muffler? before the muffler, should I get rid of all of it or leave the small one?

It's called the "resonator". Some leave it, some cut it out as well. I left it on. I have a bit of drone at 2k. Some say the drone is worse if you take the resonator off.
