Just installed 100hp injectors from Sheid diesel. Got a few p0193 codes for high rail pressure upon first 3 or 4 startups. Have now gotten those cleared up but truck still idles rough. Driving down the road it seems nice and smooth but only have maybe 10 miles on it since the swap. Will it clear up? Still air in the lines? What else should I look for?
 
Injector or install issue-air in the lines at 5k psiat idle ..NO The valve adjustment must also be correct
 
Agree with Bob, no air in the lines and need to make sure valves adjust is good.

Beyond that, 100 HP injectors have never been the most friendly for idle quality from most places. There are exceptions but the norm is hazing and a rougher idle.
 
Well its seems to have smoothed out quite a bit and can def tell a power difference. Tried getting into it a little tonight and it smoked the tires from a 2nd gear roll, let out to gain traction and then laid back into it and egt's shot right up to 1500-1600 deg. With my turbo I've been able to run smarty on any level I want without egt problems in the past and I've been told many times these injectors would be perfect for my setup. Is my program fueling to hard now that my injectors can actually supply enough fuel? Do I need to back down on my program and work my way back up until my egt's are manageable? Running tnt/r program on level 7 now.
 
Yeah, TNT on 7 and those injectors probably require a bit more air than that turbo can supply. You are into compounds territory now.
 
Like Joe always says, fuel is cheap, air is expensive. Don't add the air and it gets really expensive!
 
Thanks guys, going to drop it down a few levels and work my way back up til I find a good setting. Might have to see about getting it some more air so I can use all that fuel.
