Questions: changing cp3 & injectors

I'm getting ready to change out the injectors and cp3 on my 06. Is this a straight forward swap? Is there anything special I need to know about removing or installing? Thanks for the help.

I changed mine about 2 years ago. Back then TDR just did a right up on changing injectors with step by step instructions and pictures. Can't remember which issue that was. You could try doing a search though. I didn't use special tools on either one. Just remember to keeps stuff super clean and keep track of everything and you should be OK. Truck will run like crap til all the air is bled out of the system.

I described changing injectors on the Third Generation Turbo Diesels in Issue 51, p. 97. Procedures for changing the CP3 high pressure fuel pump are in Issue 56, p. 107.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking about going ahead and putting 60lb valve springs in it while I'm there so I'll be ready for the Smarty race tune. I've put springs in a 12v. Are these the same only twice as many?

they're actually easier than a 12v if you have the right tool... WAY easier!
