I have a few questions about the dodge I just purchased.

1. Everything is stock, no gauges, nothing. I checked the fuel pressure at the V44 and it shows 9psi at idle and 7psi at 2500 rpms. Is this too low? And if it is, should I quit driving until I ungrade the lift pump or system?

2. Other than fuel pressure gauge, what other guages should I install? 90% of time just used to commute to work, other 10% pulling travel trailor or 8000# tractor. Oh, its automatic.

If you can share anything else I would appreciate it. This is a sharp truck and i am glad to be part of the dodge family.

I have 11psi at idle and 7-8 at full throttle. The rule of thumb is not to get below 5psi at full throttle.

Ideas

1) Since you have a fuel pressure guage you can stay with it or put one in the cab, up to you

2) Relocate the lift pump to the frame rail, this will give you larger fuel lines, AN fittings which flow better and turn your lift pump into a pusher pump which can help extend it's life.

3) For towing most here agree on a Pyrometer to monitor turbo temps, transmission temp guage and boost guage.

4) Exhaust brake is a good idea, someone with an auto can tell you more about that

Welcome to TDR. What transmission do you have? You may want to include you signature. I second the turbo and transmission gauges.

The more the better, I love my Auto Meeter gagues, Boost/Pyro/Trans on the pilliar and F/P on the steering coulmn. Then add a fuel box, bigger injectors, a built auto, and a huge turbo and you should be done :)
