Questions on EGT Sensors

I am curious what your guys opinion on a good EGT for the Cummins is. I have an 07 5. 9L stock but have a Superchips Flashpaq I would like to install. Also curious what your opinion is on how long I should wait to intsall this chip I currently only Have about 9000 miles on the truck.

I think any brand is OK. I have not heard of anyone having trouble with one.



On the Flashpaq, its a warranty thing. If it is very important to you I'd wait another 91K. It will be traceable by the dealer if something happens to your engine. Best thing to do is alot of reading here and other sites and weigh the advantages with the concequences. Good luck.

Ditto... you used to be able to go around modding the truck to some extent with no problems. On the new ones such as your they are looking to find something to take your warranty away for. That superchip is traceable and they very well could void it if you start having problems with the truck. The only thing that I know of that claims to not be detectable is the smarty programmer. You have to pay to play. . and if you mod stuff you will probably become your own warranty station.
