Questions on Maintenance Schedule for 2004

I see several people commenting on tightening this or resetting this gap per the XXX mile maintenance plan. I am not sure what people are talking about. Is there a place or suggestions on this maintenance. Currently I am at 65000 miles. Did the front and read diff change, transfer case fluid change and the transmission fluid change and normal Oil changes at 5K

The owner's manual has the maintenance schedule in it. I don't see fuel filters in your list (every 15K). There's also some other stuff in the maintenance schedule like air filters, coolant changes, valve adjustments, etc.

I guess the main questions is the adjustments... is there a place were I can get how to? I have not done anything to the truck besides normal fileters,fluids etc.



I have never had to do adjustments on gas engines and want to make sure this engine runs for some time.

I picked up a factory service manual. They're a little pricey from the dealer but I saw them on e-bay really cheap (CD versions - probably pirated). Even if you buy one from the dealer, it'll pay for itself the first few times you don't have to take the truck in and pay $80/hr.

I will have to pick one up. But what are these guys talking about bad adjustments and what not. Is this something that has to be done or something that is done due to the adders?
