I have 235/85's on my RAM now. It came with 215's and I let the tore dealer talk me into them. RPM dropped a little. Mileage - Who knows. Sometimes up, sometimes down.

I bought Dunlops and am not really happy with the longivity. I have been thinking of Coopers.

Any Opinions?

I am of the opinion that my truck is happy @ 2200 RPM on the road. I don't really want to fool with road speed. I also didn't buy a 7200# truck for it's fuel economy. Whatever I do, It's better than the wife's Durango, by a lot.

BTW - I went to get one fixed this weekend (flat) and they coulden't get the dual off. They tried over an hour. Anyone else seen this? anyone have ideas as to how to get it off?

Thank You

Michellin XPS (10 ply all steel load range E). Best tire I've had on the truck.

What do you mean there couldn't get the dually off? They removed the lug nuts but the rim would not come off of the hub? '99's are hub centric rims - maybe you had some of that NE corrosion buildup between the hub and steel of the wheels. I would think that a tire monkey would have been able to get that to free up.

Couldn't get the tire off??!!

You did not specify, they did remove the lug nuts Right??

I'd try a different shop, maybe one with a lug wrench.

They took the logs off

They tried hammers, air chissels and a lot of cussing.

Thye recommend loosening a littls and take a short ride amd work the brakes.

I like the Pepsi idea, certainmy NE corrosion. Yes aluminum rims.

The Pepsi works GREAT! The truck I drive has inner and outer aluminum dual wheels. I spent almost an hour to get the first one off. l#@$%! I remembered that it works on freeing stuck pistons so I tried it on the rims. Let it sit on while I ate lunch. Took about 5 good whacks with the sledge and they stated to move.

I used an old Windex bottle and sqirted it in between the the two rims and where the studs come through the rims. It took a can and a half for what I needed. The acid in the pop eats that stuff off (makes you REALLY want to drink that stuff doesn't it ;) , I do. ).
