Have a few questions on droping a 12v out of an 89 dodge auto into a 3/4ton gas burner 1st gen rolling chassis with an auto transmission. The motor and transmission will be pulled out of a running 89 with a high mileage rough body and dropped into a 1st gen (1992) 3/4 gas burner body/chassis.

What are the main mods that will need to be completed to make this a trouble free install?

Are there any mods that will need to be made to the suspension or frame?

How big of a pain will it be to use and modify exsisting wiring harness?

Thanks in advance.

Very simple swap to do I would use the diesel wiring if at all possible but everything should swap right over have you thought about just swapping the gasser body onto the diesel frame ?

You did not mention is the truck a 2wd or a 4wd ? As if the 2 are 4wds and you dont have the same running gear you will have to swap the axels

How about the front springs? When we did "Da Beast", I knew we had to upgrade to 3/4T springs up front, since the R/C was a 1/2T at heart. Did they use the same springs on gas 3/4 and cummins 3/4 trucks, or were there more leaves under the Cummins?

The springs on The Cummins trucks are way more heavier , a spring shop can repair your OEM cummins springs if needed
