98 Yamaha oil?

What's the difference between the Remington "Blue Rock" and the remington "STS" clays, if any? I was at the store yesterday buying some and was just wondering.

Just got into this thing with a few friends and altough we suck at it, it's a blast!! While I'm at it, anybody know of a beginner friendly trap/skeet range in the Dallas/Fort Worth area?

Glenn

Backwoods Traps has a very nice trap/sporting clays range. They are off Hwy 380 in Little Elm. Let me know and I'll go shoot with you sometime... I am not very good either, but its fun.

The STS is the redesigned clay target that was engineered spefically for todays electronic throwers. They don't break up as easy in the machines, but have little difference when shooting.

Hope that helps!

I think the change may be more of an attempt to salvage Remingon's reputation with their clay targets. In recent years, they've acquired a bad rep for being too soft and hard to break even with what should be a solid hit.

I don't know if there's really anything to it. My shooting doesn't show it. But trapshooters being what they are, well... they're trapshooters. What can I say?

A group of my friends and I started clay shooting two years ago. All five of us were just terrible. I always would bring out a . 410. I figured if I could get good with a . 410 then I would be really good with a 12 GA. Turns out my theory worked as I can put my friends to shame when I bring out the 12 GA.

Hey, ya big Canuck! Are you coming to Kerrville? I'd bet there's someplace there where we can bust some clays- mebbe Gitch can check it out?

Bill,

I'm working on it, trying to get the time off work. I sure hope so. I'll bring the shotguns if I do. Diesel heads and clays, beverages of choice... ..... damn if I don't get the time off, I quit!!!

Glenn:D

There are three places listed for shooting within 30 miles of Kerrville... Bandera Gun Club, Buck and Bull Club in Mt. Home, and Fredericksburg Gun Club. I had better start practicing for the TDR Trap Tournament!

Real SOB you work for, eh? :D (Me, too!)

Besides, if you come as a VENDOR (hint, hint), it'll count as working time AND you can write off the entire trip! Oo.

That's the plan but the vendor thing is still just a side gig. I still have my real job, still work weekends and yes I do work for a FSOB (OK two;) :D ) I started lobbying hard a few weeks ago... ... .
