Competition 6th Win of the Year!!!

In the Pro Diesel drag races at Rockingham this weekend, presented by DieselPower!, Philip Palmer drove Stuckey Racing's Pro Street truck to new records. He ran a 10. 10 second pass backed up with a 10. 15 second pass; he set the speed record a little higher, at 140 MPH; and he ran a personal best ET of 9. 98 in the green truck. All this on street tires. In Quick Diesel action, Jim Layden drove from Wisconsin to continue his quest for the championship. In the final round, he ran as close as he could to the 12. 0 index to edge out Bruce Block of Michigan; Jim's 12. 000 ET can never be bested.

The folks at The Rock somehow knew how the DHRA races would turn out, as evidenced by the sign in the first picture, below left, prominently displayed next to the tower.

In other news from Rockingham, Jeff "Bye Run" Garmon finally worked out all his suspension and fuel issues and laid down a killer test-n-tune pass. When he launched, he seemingly vanished; see the second picture, below right. Note the DHRA official in the background trying to see if Jeff made the last turn-off to the return road.
