Competition Diesel races at Yellowstone drag strip

Competition Comp 461 Can Sleep Again.....

It doesn't get much easier than a class that is run what you brung. The DHRA Quick Diesel class is a 12. 0 index class, so this means heads up to 12. 0 seconds for those of you that don't like to bracket race. Come out and give it a shot this weekend at US 131!

Eric,

Any idea what day/time the trucks will run since it sounds like a combined schedule from last weeks rained out program.

Andy

trucks will run at 7 acording to 131's web site and that is saturday and then friday there is the test and tune for the diesels

In my dreams. Both of our trucks are as stock as the day they left the factory, so probably not quite up to par with what Tomac is running :-laf . I would really like to get there to watch though. I'll be at a picnic at a park down that way, so might wander over.

Time trials today starting at 11 am? Need to finish up a roof today, but might try to finish up by noon and find some time to get over there.

Andy

my truck only run low 15's hope to get high 14's this time though last time I ran for test and tune and alittle mock race they had came in second I got toasted on reaction time . 62 to a 1. 3 but I was my first time to run on a drag strip so got to get use to the light timing the race for truck is bracket so it don't matter is your truck runs 20 seconds the light is set to equal the truck out.

Test and tune today and then saturday time trial in morning and race later in the day.

yes

Saw that guy with the scheid motor make a pass tonight - sort of. Only in it 100ft and ran 13. 04... Tomorrow should be good.

Fastest truck I saw all weekend was a twinned 94 12V 2WD with big slicks - 11. 96 or 11. 97 I think. Two or 3 d-maxes very close to 12. 00, and I think one other dodge. A few Cummins second gens in the mid twelves. Don't know about final reulsts as it just started raining about 1/2 hour ago and I left...

in 12 class dodge truck two that I know were running 12. 3's and the other 12. 4's and the 12. 3 truck was only being run because dusty from hts put a billet input shaft in it because friday at test and tune the owner broke it plus the truck is just crazy on the street so had to see what it did on the track rather impressive.

The old pulling truck ran a 12. 02, 12. 23 & 12. 36 Friday night at TNT. In the DHRA QD class Saturday it ran a 12. 32 & 12. 15 in time trials and a 12. 22 in a round 1 win. Normally the truck will run 12. 0X-12. 1X's but we were playing around with the tuning with EFI Live. It would have been a good race had it not rained. The remaining 5 trucks with round 1 wins were all good runners. Kudos to DHRA for adding the 12. 00 Quick Diesel class to their dragracing program.

Mike, That truck layed down one of the cleanest 12's I've ever seen. Tuning issues or not, you still made a good showing. Some gassers fogged worse than the red bowtie beast! Nice, man. Very nice.

When was the last time you ran that thing down the 1/4?

That was my first time out this year. I ran TNT a couple times last spring before the pulling season started and a couple more times last fall after the pulling season had ended to keep from getting rusty in the 1320.
