Did you guys get a new shaft nut and lockwasher included?



Just gotten the new pump today, really have to get the truck back on the road... . but MWFI didn't include a new nut and washer, and I don't feel too comfortable using the old one, 125#, locktite or no. Don't mind doing it on exhaust and bumper parts... but on an IP? Maybe it's time for my anti-paranoia meds. Oo.



Should I go ahead and put her back together with the old fastener, torque her up, and call it good? Or wait till I can get a new nut and washer?
 
I personally wouldn't get to exited about it, Yeah a new washer and nut would have been nice and probably would be the best thing to do. , but I was in the same boat as you were, just reused the old parts, still fine after 5000 miles.
if you are really worried about it bold the new VP on with the old hardware, and when the new hardware comes in put it on, takes 5 min.

Good point, Pete. It's on, torqued down, and sealed up now. I'll order the new hardware and toss it on when it arrives, till then I'll run her as is. Too late here for dropping the lines back on, but hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to fire her up... .
