Hey guys,

I called Cummins West this morning to have them send me a oil pick-up tube gasket for my oil pan gasket R&R this weekend and as always they asked me for the engine serial number, which I didn't have handy. But are all the pick-up tube gaskets the same on '94-'98 12v's? The parts guys had to ask a couple other people if the gasket he had was the right one, but he said it was for a '96 12v, so will that one work for my '98 12v? He also said that some gaskets were different, but I don't see why they would be, it should be just a gasket that looks like a miniture Chevy thermostat housing gasket, right?

Please let me know, so I can make sure they are sending me the right gasket.

Thanks guys, Joe :)

Some Felpro gaskets have the oil pickup tube gasket molded to the oil pan gasket. Some of which have Cummins part # stamped on them. .

Either should work, but I wouldn't "double-deck" if the oil pan gasket has one "attached. "

Great Andy, thanks!

No, my oil pan gasket I got from Cummins doesn't have a pick up molded to it, so I guess the one they are sending me should work, only cost $1. Even if it doesn't work I guess I could run to the dealer in an emergency on Saturday.
