I'm trying to put together a new exhaust system (same as what I have now, split and comes out in front of both tires) but in 4".

But anyways, what would be the difference between aluminized and stainless pipe?

I can't find anyone to do it, NW custom (which is the closest place) can piece something together, but I want one custom bent... and I would have to go all the way to Stan's Headers by Seattle.

I know a lot of people like Rip's, but he can't help... I aleady talked to him.

So I'm still looking!

Yeah, so... ... ok... ... . ummmmm

Aluminized pipe has a corrosion resistant coating applied to it. Stainless is itself corrosion resistant, but there are different grades of stainless with varying degrees of corrosion resistance and strength.

If you are goign for the long haul, and dont mind spending the money go stainless. If you wont have the truck for long, or really cant spend the money go aluminized.

If your climate is half as dry as Colorado, you should have no problem with the aluminized. I have had several trucks out there, and all of the stock exhaust systems have held up well. I think it's when you get into winter road salting and high summer humidity that you run into trouble with rust and corrosion. The muffler eliminator pipe on Mom's looks nearly new after 4 years, 3 of which have been here in the swamp and muddy roads half the winter. I dont think the stainless would be worth it to me, but if you are after looks at all (which, if you have seen my pickup, it is obvious I'm not) the stainless looks sharper.
