Looking for exhaust brake

Seperate 6.7 EGR Exhaust Pipe

Looking for an exhaust system cat back for my 06 Megacab. Truck is totally stock and will stay that way. My stock exhaust is full of holes and broken in two, looking for a stainless aftermarket system that is as quiet as stock, no midrange drone like my 99 MRBP 4" system that is so loud I have to shout to hold a conversation.

Has anyone had some experience that they could pass along?

Thanks,

Jeff

Any Exhaust that comes as a "turbo-back kit" is going to be louder then the stock setup. I have used Banks, Diamond Eye, and currently Silverline. The sound is good and fine when driving empty. Problem for me occurs when towing my gooseneck with combined 24k. I get drone and it gets old on longer hauls to tracks across the USA.

I am looking to replace my silverline with a Flow-Pro Stainless system and also add there resonator/muffler under the cab. I am told this setup is very close to stock noise level. Cant beat the price of Flow-pro's stainless turbo back exhaust. Just use band clamps instead of what it is shipped with.

I like my Stans Headers exhaust even more quite than it was when stock exhaust was on it. I took the cat off and just put the big donaldson muff and pipe on great fit got my moneys worth on this HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU HEARD THAT.

I just installed a resonator from FTE (RM5530A) which is 5" x 30". I have a 2010 CC with a 5" Flopro TBE which came with a muffler. I took the Flopro muffler out and replaced it with the FTE resonator. FTE says it is more effective if you put it as close to the turbo as possible. To do this, you would need to buy another exhaust hanger which may be worth it, however I think it really takes the drone away where I put it. They also make a shorter version.
